Am I in trouble for defamation of character, libel or slander?

My soon to be ex husband and I are going through a divorce and theres a big custody battle. I have temporary custody of our daughter. My husband is a predatory offender. We live in Minneosta. Its very similar to a offender. He has to register and has alot of rules of what he cant do. He has been hanging out with people I went to highschool with or knew as a child and I told some of these people.... because they have young children that he is a predatory offender. His crime involved a molestation but it is on his juvenile record. It is very true. He is threatening to ruin my life, he said this started a war and that hes gonna take me to court and I could be arrested. I want to know am truly in trouble?? Do I really have to keep this info to myself? And if I am in trouble.. how much trouble am I in???
