Is the X factor a total fix?

Having just watched the X factor tonight to see Katie Waissel sc through from the bottom two YET AGAIN, I'm wondering if there's any industry insiders out there who can confirm that this show is a total fix? The girl should not have got beyond the 'judges houses' stage, where she was out-performed by several other contenders who did not get through (as was Cher Lloyd). It is quite plain that Katie is NOT LIKED by the public, who continue to vote her into the bottom two each week. I personally feel she is only there because of her image (which is sad, given all she is is a - feeble - copy of Gwen Stefani). It's bloody outrageous, though - WHY are the public spending �������s phoning each week, if their votes obviously don't count? (Please don't expect me to believe Aidan REALLY got the most public votes - come on). It's ILLEGAL, for chrissakes!
