Why do so many think we are 'here by chance' rather than feeling and trying to know our Universal links?

well i believe there is a universal human nature, at least approximately. but where does it come from? words color the argument: 'spirit' is truly a useless word. everyone knows what it means to them but no one agrees with anyone else. however one thing you said that resonates with me was this: 'If only we treat each other the way we would like to be treated'. i don't care particularly that jesus said it - many others have said it too. can't hurt to repeat it though i suppose.
